WILLIAMS, Mitchell Gibbs, died peacefully Monday, August 12, 2013 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth T. and Ruth G. Williams and a sister, Wynelle W. Sawyer. Survivors include his wife, Ann Moncure-Williams; daughter, Mackie Moncure-Williams; son, Christopher Williams; and grandchildren, Sloan and Tyler Williams; additional survivors include, the John Moncure family all of whom he loved dearly.

Mitch was born in Petersburg, Va. and made Richmond his home in the early 1960s after attending VCU and serving in the Army Reserves. He was co-owner of Christopher Robin Antiques and later co-founder of Cuisine a la Carte. Mitch lived life passionately and had many interest in history, politics, reading, and all of types of music. His biggest love however was his friends and family.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 3 p.m. at the Parhamn Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Virginia. Online condolences can be made at www.woodyfuneralhomeparham.com
