LOCKS, Darius "John" Moore, 93, passed away June 10, 2017, at Sitter and Barfoot Veterans Care Center. He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Locks Farmer (Clarence "Chip"); his son, David Moore Locks (Linda); and three wonderful stepchildren, Marry Ellen McGraw (Harold "Chip), Barry Kerns and Gene Kerns (Dean Warden); two grandchildren, four step grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving and devoted wife, Margaret "Bobbie" Kerns Locks of 28 years; and his first wife, June Parrish Vaughan Locks of 35 years; his parents, and six brothers and sisters.

LOCKS, Darius "John" Moore, 93, passed away June 10, 2017, at Sitter and Barfoot Veterans Care Center. He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Locks Farmer (Clarence "Chip"); his son, David Moore Locks (Linda); and three wonderful stepchildren, Marry Ellen McGraw (Harold "Chip), Barry Kerns and Gene Kerns (Dean Warden); two grandchildren, four step grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving and devoted wife, Margaret "Bobbie" Kerns Locks of 28 years; and his first wife, June Parrish Vaughan Locks of 35 years; his parents, and six brothers and sisters.

He was a longtime and devoted member of Colonial Place Christian Church, where he served as an Elder. He retired from American Tobacco Co. John was a World War II Navy veteran, serving aboard the USS Incessant, AMS and the USS Terror, CML. He was a Master Mason, Past Master of Westhampton Lodge #302. He served the Grand Lodge of Virginia as DDGM in 1992, The Grand Pursuivant in 1996, and the Administrative Assistant to the Grand Master in 2003. He was a member of the Richmond Scottish Rite, KCCH and Washington Royal Arch Chapter #9. He was a member of several Masonic Research Lodges, a past Patron of Areme Chapter #17 OES, and also a member of the American Legion Post #84. To his children and their families he says, "Do not mourn for me because I go to be with my Father who has prepared a place for me. Praise the Lord."

The family will receive friends and love ones at Woody Funeral Home, Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229 on Wednesday, June 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. Services will be conducted by Rev. Brian Fleming on Thursday, June 15, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Colonial Place Christian Church, P.O.
